Headed to the Walt Disney World Resort for your upcoming spring break? Lucky. The month of February and majority of the month of March have relatively low to moderate crowds, putting you at an advantage to make the most of your trip. Another perk of visiting the Sunshine State during these months is the weather, not too hot and not too cold. The temperature is perfect for spending a day in a Disney park. Here are some tips for you if you are fortunate enough to be going to Walt Disney World within the next couple of months!
◇ Learn the in’s and out’s of the new MagicBands— Don’t expect to see FastPass machines next to your favorite rides anymore. Those are now a thing of the past. Disney has now introduced their newest form of FastPass+, MagicBands. These are colorful and custom bands for your wrist, that allow you access to the parks, your Disney resort hotel room, FastPasses for the attractions of your choice, and to buy anything that your heart desires. You can set up your MagicBand online, and reserve FastPasses for every day of your vacation, before you even step foot into the parks.
◇ Check out what’s new at the parks– The new addition to Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom is definitely a must see, and something worth going to. From Enchanted Tales with Belle, to the Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train, there is something for everyone here. Also, several Starbucks locations have been added among the parks, so keep an eye out for those. Downtown Disney is currently working on a huge expansion, so if you are planning on visiting there, try to take the transportation provided, and be ready for some pixie dust.
◇ Plan your days ahead of time– You can find online when the extra magic hours are for each park each day of your trip. Plan your days around those, to ensure you the most time at the parks, with the lightest crowds. Extra magic hours offer guests an hour early admission or up to two hours later close time.
◇ Go to Epcot and see the International Flower & Garden Festival— This Festival is running in Epcot from March 4 thru May 17, and displays beautiful flowers designed to your favorite Disney character and scenes. I’ve visited this before and have been stunned and in awe of the flower displays, and even got my picture with some of my favorite characters.
Last but not least, HAVE FUN and TAKE PICTURES at the happiest place on Earth! Be ready to show your Disney side!
