I don’t know about you, but the weekends never seem to be long enough. Here we are, at the start of another week. This week’s Motivational Monday comes from a classic Disney film that to me will never get old. Watching Disney movies as an adult gives you a much different experience than watching these movies as a kid. These words of wisdom from Rafiki are actually extremely inspirational, and words that can apply to my life today.
Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.
Rafiki should be given a little more credit for helping out Simba in the movie “The Lion King,” because in my opinion, he knows what he is talking about. There is no point to dwell on the past. It is impossible to change the past. What has happened, happened. The only way that we can benefit from the past is to find a way to learn from it. We can run from it, but why run when we can learn? Some of the best life lessons are ones that we find out ourselves, and through experiences. Those experiences can range from heartbreak to hardships. In the end, we can become better people from our past, only if we have the courage to learn from it.
